How to apply a bronze smokey eye

Smokey eyes are a seductive makeup staple, and what better time amp up the vamp than coming into spring? Follow these simple steps for our favourite evening look. It’s a versatile style that suits virtually everyone, especially with the bronze twist, and is easy enough for you to make use of over and over again.

Step One

1 – Prep your eyes with a good concealer, making sure it’s well blended on the lid and under eye area. Powder the concealer with a fine, translucent powder using a medium-sized powder brush.

Step Two

2 – With a brown eyeliner pencil, line your top and bottom lash eyelid area with the pencil. Using an Eyeshadow brush, soften the edges of the pencil lines and blend into the crease of the lid.

3 – Next, using the same eyeshadow brush, set your brown pencil with a  bronze or copper shadow. Then with a blending brush, use gentle circular motions to seamlessly blend the shadow into the crease. Press the same shadow over the pencil at the lower lash line and blend away any harsh lines.

4 – Now to intensify and finish off the look; with a slightly damp angle brush, pick up some black eyeshadow and run it along the top and bottom lashline as close to the lash roots as possible. You might even want to apply to the top of the bottom lashes. Then with your dry eyeshadow brush, gently smudge and soften the line. Apply your mascara, and you’re good to go!

Pair with a nude glossy lip, we recommend one of these new  Eye of Horus Bio Lipsticks !
