A three-in-one beauty product that cuts makeup time in half every morning seems nearly too good to be true, right? BB Cream (or ‘Beauty Balm’) is a primer, moisturiser and foundation rolled into one, and while not that many people use it, 4 of 5 people who do say they’d use it again. The new certified organic Inika BB Cream is time-saving and nourishing to boot, and has made many of us keen to jump on board the BB-craze in a big way. It also boasts the highest percentage of Certified Organic ingredients in a BB Cream (80%), using a magic combination of ingredients to soothe the skin.

Inika’s Certified Organic BB Cream recipe:

A sprinkling of Prickly Pear

Prickly Pear (or Opuntia) comes from a cactus plant grown in Mexico, the Carribbean Isles and the United States. It’s extremely high in essential fatty acids, Omega 6 and 9, and Vitamin E (a natural antioxidant). It’s also rich in amino acids, which help boost collagen production and keeps the skin elastic and youthful.

A scoop of Pomegranate

As well as being a tasty addition to salad, pomegranate seeds are also a powerful, protective addition to cosmetics. They’re full of antioxidants, including gallic and egallic acids, which help to ward off sun damage. Pomegranate seeds are also anti-aging, the antioxidants helping to repair free-radical damage from the sun and reduce the appearance of age spots.

A slathering of Avocado

Many cosmetics include avocado and its oils due to their highly-penetrative qualities. This means that the skin absorbs all of its most nourishing vitamins (like Vitamin A, D, and E) more readily. Avocado also contains potassium (around 60% more than bananas) and essential fatty acids, helping to condition and hydrate the skin.

A dash of Jojoba Oil

The Jojoba plant grows in Southern Arizona, California, and Mexico. The liquid produced within its seeds is used to create a barrier between the skin and the elements. Unlike water-based ingredients, Jojoba Oil also doesn’t lose its moisturising qualities when you apply it. It means that Inkia’s Certified Organic BB Cream has long-lasting, natural moisturising qualities that’ll keep your skin conditioned all day!
